Goldirocks

Goldi had been to the Outer Banks for a mini-vacation last year and fell in love with Nags Head. She knew she just had to get back there for a full week with her family.

First things first ... she checked with her co-workers to get some recommendations for rental companies on the Outer Banks. Goldi went back to her desk and began her search. Goldi's family was very particular ... they needed a large house with a lot of king beds, with an elevator, on the oceanfront, with a pool, some type of game room and it had to have Internet access too.

She put in her criteria and waited for the results. Hmmmm ... JR23 looked very promising ... she checked off her list:

Nine Bedrooms, Seven Full Baths and One Half Bath. Six king beds (so far so good) and one queen bed, six twin beds. The little ones would be so happy about those beds. Then she read on ... the sheets and bath towels were provided! The beds would be made before check in! Woo-Hoo...Goldi and her mom and aunt could start the vacation right away. She hated making beds.

Is there a pool? Yes! And a hot tub, and a game room with pool table, air hockey and ping pong table.

Elevator, check. Oceanfront, check. Internet access, yes. No smoking, no pets allowed (which was perfect because Goldi's father became very grumpy when he smelled cigarette smoke and Aunt Medora was very allergic to pet hair).

There was a walkway to the beach and this home was located in Nags Head near the 11.7 Mile Post. That means they would be close to their favorite places to eat! Goldi and her husband loved Owen's Restaurant, Tortugas Lie and Lucky 12!

Goldi picked her week ... so easy on this website and clicked on Book Now. She filled in the contact information and made her reservation. Within minutes she had a confirmation email with all the details. She would be able to go to Village Realty Guest Web and pay online or check her balance any time. Plus, the nice people at Village Realty called her to see if she had any questions.

Ta-da ... Goldi was a Vacation Hero! She would tell her family at dinner tonight that the next Outer Banks vacation was all set. Now if she could only convince her husband to read a map or ask for directions or buy a Garmin before they left Ohio, that would be wonderful. "Men don't ask directions" he always said. "Well, women DO and women don't get lost" was her answer to that. Oh well, it was going to be a wonderful week!
